It's crazy to imagine that not so long ago our Ross River Dam was at a very sad 14% capacity.

A delivery of heavy rain in early 2018 gave the catchment a decent drink, but not enough to hit the 100% mark.

Now we're starting 2019 on a high note with the city's water supply about to smash 100% capacity.

On Sunday the Dam was reading 65% now on Wednesday morning it's done a massive jump to 90%.

Rain is predicted across North Queensland for the rest of the week, which will no doubt see the water hole breaking full capacity, which hasn't happened since 2014!

Paluma Dam has enjoyed the big drink as well and is now at 106% capacity.

With this huge amount of rain though, comes flooding on our roads.
