The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is heading back to the Gold Coast celebrating 21 years on Sunday 5th May, giving local kids the chance to "unleash their healthy potential".

No matter your abilities or experience, the TRYathlon is sure to be fun for everyone involved, promoting healthy outdoor activities and rewarding every participant for just having a go.

This year's Gold Coast ambassador, former Olympic gold medal winning swimmer Libby Trickett, said the highlight of the event for her is seeing the kids cross the finish line, cheered on by family, friends and onlookers.

“Self-doubt, whether you’re an adult or a kid, it’s what stops us from reaching our potential – and we want every Aussie kid to reach theirs. That’s what the Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is all about... If the TRYathlon goes any way towards instilling in [kids] a love of physical activity and giving the next generation of Aussies a positive voice inside their head that says, ‘I can do it’, then that’s powerful.”

Registrations are open now until THIS Sunday for kids aged 7-15. All participants who complete the course will receive a medallion as they cross the finish line.

Ages 7-10   75m swim, 3km cycle, 500m run
Ages 11-15   150m swim, 6km cycle, 1km run

And it's fun for the whole family, with stacks of other activities happening throughout the event including a huge sports expo.

It's all happening at Broadwater Parklands (Marine Parade, Southport) on Sunday 5th May.
