Mayor Dennis Wellington said he was looking forward to the event and hoped for good weather and a record turnout of spectators.
“We’re also excited to announce that extended trading hours have also been approved for the evening of the Christmas pageant meaning retailers will be able to take advantage of the increased activity in our CBD,” Mayor Wellington said.
The festivities kick off at 3pm and conclude at 8pm. Food and drink will be available.
