A petition is now online at www.Change.org calling for both local and state government to help in controlling the crime issue in Cherbourg and Murgon.
The community is calling for an unsupervised youth curfew in the South Burnett to counter crime rates.
"The South Burnett Community has had enough of the growing crime rate in their area. Cars and homes being broken into has become the normal and we demand change."
Nanango MP Deb Frecklington is backing the petition, trying to push for increased police resources.
This comes after four cars were stolen from Graham House over the weekend with a group of youths spending their weekend on a destructive rampage.
"The amount of stolen vehicles is of particular concern, with youths stealing multiple cars per night for no reason other than to go for a joy ride. The local police are doing what they can but there appears to be a weak link further down the line, with these crime sprees coming in waves."
Mrs Frecklington says locals are living in fear.
