Mornings in Adelaide are changing in 2019, with a fresh look Breakfast show Bec and Cosi set to wake up the city each weekday morning from 6am – 9am on hit107!

Presenting Network Ten’s Adelaide bulletin TEN Eyewitness News First At Five for over a decade now, Rebecca ‘Bec’ Morse certainly knows a thing or two about what makes Adelaide tick.

Bec has forged her way as both as an award-winning news journalist and presenter and is familiar with radio having worked at SAFM back in 2012. Not only did Bec grow up in Adelaide but is now raising a young family of her own.

Bec said, “I’m really excited to be joining hit107 breakfast next year. I started my media career in radio and loved my stint at the station several years ago, so it will be like coming home. Cosi and I have a lot in common; we are both passionate and proud South Australians and laugh at our own jokes. As for working both ends of the day, there will be coffee and there will be chaos.”

Joining Bec is Adelaide personality Andrew ‘Cosi’ Costello. Currently in his sixth season of hosting SA’s only travel show South Aussie with Cosi on Channel 9, he’s discovered things that even locals wouldn’t know. Cosi is also the founder of national charity Cows for Cambodia, raising funds for very poor Cambodian families and is no stranger to radio, having earned his reputation on SAFM and Triple M.

Cosi said “I left the pig farm to join SAFM 18 years ago, and I fell in love with radio and its audience. This radio station runs through my blood and the opportunity to return to hit107 is like a dream come true. South Aussie with Cosi and my social media community mean the world to me and to be able to add the hit107 breakfast show to that stable is very exciting!

“Bec Morse is a gun. She’s funny, likeable and a great mum. The hit107 role will allow SA to get to know the cheeky, fun side of one of our best newsreaders.  I ask all South Aussies for their support and we look forward to creating a breakfast show like no other. Bring it on!”

Bec and Cosi will be joined by Hayden ‘Haydo’ Naughton who will jump ship from Triple M Adelaide to anchor the show.  Hit Network’s Head of Content Gemma Fordham said, “It’s with great excitement that we welcome both Bec and Cosi back to radio!

“Together, they bring many years of experience and are truly passionate about Adelaide and Adelaideans. Having heard the show off air I can guarantee it’s a show people will love listening to – it’s fun, cheeky, relatable and really puts a smile on your face. The chemistry between Bec and Cosi is infectious and we look forward to the show starting in January.”
