Life is so busy and sometimes the great food Melbourne has to offer can fly under the radar...

Here are some places we highly recommend you check out in 2018 – make it a New Year’s Resolution!

1. Son In Law, Collingwood

The food here too cute! The guys behind it describe it as ‘casual Thai food with fun’. You’ll find super cute cocktails and magic balls shaped like Winnie The Pooh and more!

2. Nomadic Berwick, Berwick

This place loves their waffles and there are many options including raspberry, chocolate and mint. You can even get double waffle shakes!!

3. Rogue District, Brunswick

This is one wicked brunch spot. For the sweet tooths, dive into some Tim Tam hotcakes or white chocolate waffles. Need some savoury? The black Bulgogi burger will do you good!

4. Darling Café, South Yarra

This might be the prettiest breakfast menu in Melbourne! Enjoy spring at any time of the year with fairy floss on top of waffles and a gorgeous smashed avo complete with every topping imaginable.

5. El Mirage, Brunswick

This café does breakfast right! Start the day with jalapeno corn fritters or a massive coconut & chia pudding!

6. Burger Kitchen, Moonee Ponds

This burger joint is gluttony galore! Feast on loaded burgers stacked to perfection or a cheeky hot dog. Finish off with a fairy floss and ice cream-topped milkshake or try their killer dessert board.

7. HOLLA Coffee Roasters, Richmond

Named the home of the Boozy Brunch, this café headed up by ex Rustica chef Albert Abbott is a fantastic spot. Treat yourself to a ‘Meanie Smoothie’ as you settle into one of their many breakfast options.

8. Flame 400, Greensborough

This spot nestled in Greensborough Plaza is dedicated to all the massive food you’d have to fly to America to try. Their hot dogs are loaded, their milkshakes are extreme and their fries are packed with toppings.

9. The Sweetest Spot, Brunswick

Labelled as Melbourne’s #1 Dessert Café, this place does it all and doesn’t hold back! Have loaded pancakes, apple crumble or ice cream cone-topped waffles. If you want to go really hard, their dessert tower is something else.

10. Fitzrovia, St Kilda

This all day café and restaurant has something for everyone. Have half a melon topped with yogurt and granola for breakfast and choose from a selection of beautiful meals at dinner.
