Ed Sheeran fans are warning others to expect serious delays getting home, ahead of tonight’s Suncorp Stadium concert.

Following the British singer’s first Brisbane concert, fans found themselves waiting for replacement busses on some train lines due to scheduled maintenance.

The maintenance affected passengers on the Caboolture, Redcliffe Peninsula, Sunshine Coast lines with busses replacing trains between Northgate and Petrie.

While work was announced two months ago – fans said it was frustrating the works took place on the night of the sold out concert.

Jojo contacted Hit105 explaining there simply weren’t enough busses to deal with the crowds – and that she didn’t get home until 2am.

She said it was ‘very disorganised” and said many people were waiting for extended periods for busses that just weren’t there.

There’s also reports the last trains that did run weren’t able to keep up with demand.

Mum, Mikaela was picking up her daughter at Milton, also told the station she was saw many concert-goers stranded at the station when she was picking up her child.

“I was standing near the police officers who were doing an amazing job. I overheard the security guards saying the last train for the Gold Coast has left. There were literally thousands of people coming at me, they were told there were no Gold Coast trains.

“People were doing the right thing and there just weren’t enough train for them. I really felt sorry for people trying to get home.”
