Riverina residents are being invited to a community meeting in Wagga today, to share their views on proposed new measure, aimed at improving the welfare of poultry across NSW.

Animal welfare proponent and former NSW Chief Vet, Ian Roth will host the session at the Mantra Pavilion from 12 noon until 2pm, as part of an extensive consultation process on ways to improve animal welfare outcomes in the state’s poultry industries.

Dr Roth says the draft standards cover a range of issues, including nutrition, housing, animal husbandry, biosecurity and on-farm management.

Those who can't make it to the meeting can have their say here.
