A brushtail possum in Queensland found itself in a sticky situation earlier this week when it got its head stuck inside a Nutella jar.
The possum was simply trying to get a taste of the spread we all love, but unfortunately, it's head was simply too big for the discarded jar.
RSPCA wildlife ambulance officer Chantel Sibilla found the possum struggling to get its head out of the jar by a wheelie bin in Loganholme, Queensland.
She was able to help the possum squeeze its head out of the jar and transported it to the RSPCA's Wacol animal hospital for a check up.
"I put lubricant around the outside of the jar and got his head free, first on one side, then on the other.
"The most amazing thing was the way he tried to help me out, grabbing the jar with his little paws so he help me lever it off.
"I wanted to call him Nutty the moment I saw him there."
The possum was released on Wednesday afternoon and the RSPCA has advised locals to secure their rubbish to avoid more incidents involving animals.
