We’ve all been severely messed up from watching a horror movie wayyyyy to young, and unfortunately for these kiddos, they have experienced that torment…

Cinema goers at Events Cinemas Innaloo were treated to a terrifying sight this week, when the trailer for R-rated horror flick Hereditary aired before the PG-rated Peter Rabbit...

Here’s the trailer, if you want to see what these innocent children were exposed to.

A woman named Jane spoke to WA Today about it all, revealing that the cinema had been filled with families and “at least 40 children,” when the trailer began.

“Nothing to worry about there, but then the first trailer that was shown was for Hereditary, a horror movie that even I wouldn’t go see.

"It was dreadful. Very quickly you could tell this was not a kid’s film. Parents were yelling at the projectionist to stop, covering their kids’ eyes and ears. A few went out to get a staff member but she was overwhelmed and didn’t really know what to do. Some parents fled the cinema with their kids in tow.

“Eventually a senior staff member came in with a walkie talkie and he shut the screen off. To his credit he apologised and offered us complimentary movie passes to make up for it.”

Since the incident, a spokesperson from Event Cinemas parent company has made a statement, saying the events of the day will be “investigated internally to ensure situations like this do not occur again.”

Unfortunately for these kids, they’re already scarred for life…
