Police rush to fatal light aircraft crash on Silver City Highway.

Two men have died following a light aircraft crash 50 km north of Wentworth.

Barrier District Police and emergency services have rushed to a rural property on Silver City Highway at around 3.30 pm yesterday.

The two men on board are yet to be formally identified.

Initial reports indicate the aircraft crashed just after take off.

Police will work with Recreation Aviation Australia to investigate the cause of the crash.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been notified of the incident.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

The crash is the second to occur in NSW on the same day, Police called to a paddock on Forest Road in Spring Hill, around 30 km south East of Orange just after noon.

Officers are calling for anyone with information on the incident to come forward, and contact Crime Stoppers.
