A woman and a man have been charged after allegedly stealing almost 50 boxes of Lego from several retail stores near Botany Bay.

Police responded to reports of multiple thefts at a shopping centre around 4:40pm on Saturday afternoon, where Lego products were targeted.

About 2am on Sunday morning, a search warrant was executed at a home on Clyde Street in Vineyard, where 47 boxes of Lego and other items were located and seized.

Two people were arrested before being taken to Windsor Police Station.

A 28-year-old woman has been charged with four counts of larceny, while a 48-year-old man was also charged with three counts of larceny.

They were both granted conditional bail and will appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 22 February 2018.
