Patrols have slammed motorists who make the choice to speed in our region; with a number of drivers nabbed over the weekend.


Officers detected a Ford Sedan reportedly travelling at 171 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone.


The 55-year-old driver has been issued a $1074 fine, as well as a six month on the spot loss of license and 9 demerit points.


A teenage driver has been hit over $1300 in fines, after being nabbed allegedly speeding on the Riddoch Highway near Naracoorte.


A 19 year old Wilunga man has been fined for speeding and breaching a condition of his provisional license, after allegedly being clocked travelling 140 km/hr in a 110 km/hr zone.


Limestone Coast Police say these actions dramatically increases the risk of a fatality or serious injury collision for motorists.


Locals who see drivers openly flouting the road rules are being called upon to report the act to Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
