Police are asking for any witnesses to an horrific single-vehicle crash that happened on the Dalby Cooyar Road, near Kaimkillenbun on Tuesday to please come forward.

The accident occurred around 4:30pm on Tuesday (March 26).

Initial investigations indicate that the 36-year-old woman had not been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and had been thrown from the car.

The woman sustained significant injuries to her legs, arms, pelvis and abdomen, it’s believed that she was impaled by part of a tree, and was trapped inside the vehicle with emergency services cutting parts of the tree away to clear a path for paramedics.

Police are now asking for any members of the public with relevant dashcam footage to please come forward.
