Be honest, have you ever opted for a bottle of rosé over something else solely because the colour was just too pretty to pass?

Well, what if we told you that you could sit out in the sun's warm rays, put your feet up and throw back something more on the bitter side of things... yet still just as pretty?!

We introduce to you... PINK GIN!

Who doesn't enjoy a refreshing gin and tonic - despite its general lacklustre clear liquid? So, why not enjoy the cocktail on a new, pinker level?

Wölffer Estate Vineyard, mostly commonly known for their rosé, have gone ahead and made a gorgeous pink-tinged gin that's actually made using rosé wine.

In a press release from Wölffer, they describe the making process of their gin and, well, prepare for a watering mouth.

"We distill our celebrated Wölffer Estate Rosé wine to use as the gin base. For our main flavoring, we use Juniper berries picked by hand from the bushes at our beautiful Estate. Fine hints of Anise, Fennel, Coriander, Cumin, and Cardamom are also added, along with fresh Mint from the garden. Our still is a copper pot still from Christian Carl, Germany. And because distilling isn’t
our main business, we can afford to distill at a slow pace and use only the purest and best alcohol, discarding the rest. A small amount of grape skin extract creates the beautiful pink color."

Wölffer also produces wine, dry ciders and vinegar, and gosh someone get us to their vineyard now!

Unfortunately for us thirsty Aussies, their vineyard is located in New York, which basically means... it's not easy to get it on our shores! If, however, you're reading this from the States, pink gin is available from select east coast stores.

In the meantime, we always have food dye!
