OMG TRL Australia Is Coming Back To MTV And You Could Host It!

If you're like us and miss Andrew G and Jabba on Channel V... or were you a fan of Video Hits? Prepare yourself - MTV TRL is returning to AUSTRALIA!

MTV announced today that a local version of the successful US show is set to return to our TV screens in 2019.

MTV’s TRL Australia originally aired from 2004 to 2006 and hosts included Maz Compton, Jason Dundas, Nathan Sapsford and Lyndsey Rodriguez.  The first season in 2004 was broadcast live from Sydney Harbour aboard MTV’s first-ever floating television studio, the “MTV Cruiser”.

So, how could you be the next host? MTV will reveal an interactive set at this year's VidCon in Melbourne where hopefuls can shoot segments with an auto-cue, host interviews with other creators and more!

MTV producers and hosts will engage with VidCon delegates to provide professional tips and the opportunity to create and post their own original MTV TRL Australia-branded content.
