While we get ready to hit the road to see loved ones this festive season, take note of these North Queensland streets...

If you want to keep away from the speedsters/be alert as to where the most active speed cameras are operating, check out the details below. 

In 10th spot it's our southern neighbours on Eighth Avenue in Home Hill, clocking up $54,260 across 286 fines from unmanned speed cameras so far this year. 

Next it's Hudson Street in Kirwan where 294 tickets have racked up $56,929 in fines. 

Eighth AND seventh place goes to Ross River Road- firstly in Aitkenvale and then at Thuringowa Central totalling $133,074.

Another 363 tickets were given to drivers on Woolcock Street in Currajong equalling $73,022. 

In fifth spot it's Halifax Road in Ingham where 364 tickets have added up to $73,852 so far this year.  

The top four starts with Bayswater Road (the Garbutt end) with 397 tickets taking $76,137 from local wallets. 

Third spot goes to the always busy Saunders Street in Railway Estate where 465 drivers have given up $88,023 in fines. 

Belgian Gardens' Bundock Street comes in at second place with 636 tickets adding up to $124,771, which is still a fair jump behind the top spot which goes to....

INGHAM ROAD in the Bohle. 

The stretch of road had seen 1349 tickets handed out this year at a whopping total of $270,890.
