A 22 year old Pakenham man who ran into seven children in a hit-run incident in Officer earlier this year has been sentenced to nine years jail.
Zhane Su’a was sentenced on Friday after pleading guilty to ten charges, including five counts of recklessly causing injury.
The court heard Su’a has never held a licence before, and had been drinking prior to crashing a stolen ute into a pedestrian island on the corner of Grandvue Boulevard and Princes Highway. Eight people were injured in the February incident.
Zhane Su'a will be eligible for parole in 5 years.
