Sydney is celebrating same sex marriage hard, and so we should be!
The NSW Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages is offering 24 couples the chance to get married on an iconic Manly Ferry.
The best part… it will take place on Valentine’s Day, which will be our first Valentine’s Day that same sex marriage is legal in Australia!
LOVE IS IN THE AIR!
If you are one of the lucky 24 couples to take part in the one-off wedding deal, you will be saving a fair bit of cash… most weddings set you back in the thousands, and this will cost you just $572 for a ferry ride to say “I Do.”
You will be able to jump on board at either Circular Quay or Manly, and tie the knot in front of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House!
Each ferry will be decorated with ribbons and bows for the big day.
Attonery-General Mark Speakman stated: “Valentine’s Day is the most romantic day of the year and what better way to say ‘I do’ than aboard one of Sydney’s iconic ferries. This is the first time the Registry has conducted weddings on the water and it’s bound to be an unforgettable experience.”
