Newcastle Has Employed A Super Drone To Save Us From Potential Shark Attacks

It's been a pretty scary summer in Newcastle following an influx of shark sightings throughout Nobby's, Merewether and Bar beach, including a sighting on Australia Day.
There's only been one track so far and partly because there is a dedicated team of drone operators patrolling our shores for danger!
Wade Hammond is the director of life saving and smartshark drone pilot at Nobbys beach. Wade and his fellow drone operators send the smartshark drone out 12 times a day to ensure we aren't rubbing shoulders (or fins) with some of the deadliest fish in our oceans.
Nick, jess & Ducko spoke with Wade this morning to find out how the smartshark works and how the drone and it's operators are keeping us safe.
