Today marks the official start of the Newcastle cruise ship season.
First up is the Caledonian Sky and its 114 passengers this morning, which docked a little after 6am.
There's 15 ocean liners to dock at the city over the coming months, bringing more than 27,000 visitors.
Much bigger ships expected in the coming months - including the voyager-class Explorer of the Seas next year - which can hold thousands.
The season brings in around $11 million dollars to the region annually.
