The new $20 has been unveiled today, complete with even more features to stop counterfeiting - including new security measures.

The Reserve Bank has given a preview of the note, which is set to hit circulation in October, and has been designed to also make it easier for people with vision impairments to use the money.

Mary Reibey and Reverend John Flynn will remain on the note, however there will be a top-to-bottom clear window featuring a flying kookaburra with moving wings and a number '20' that reverses.

A new $100 note is also on the cards, with the $5, $10 and $50 banknotes already rolled out over the last few years.
