Rachael & Joe

Living with a condition like diabetes, is still a topic we don't really touch on enough. However, when someone you love is affected by the results of diabetes, it becomes all too real.

A short while ago, one of our own here at Hit FM, Rachael, lost her brother. Losing a family member is tough, and not always something people can come back from.

Rachael invited us, her colleagues and friends, to listen and learn about diabetes with the aide of CEO of Diabetes NSW, QLD & ACT, Sturt Eastwood, who came to see us at work.

Sturt talked staff through his life with Type 1 diabetes and how he found out later in life.

National Diabetes Week continued on air, with Bodge chatting to his good mate, Peter, about living with diabetes.

The week wrapped up with Rachael telling the story of her little brother, Joe, and what she is doing now to educate people.
