National Cabinet will meet today to discuss COVID support packages, as 12 million Aussies are now in lockdown.

The PM and state leaders will discuss the support payments as well as the vaccine rollout.

They'll look at introducing a package that starts on day one of stay-at-home orders, and Scomo has agreed to fund immediate payments for Victorians out of work.

It's believed people who have lost at least 20 hours of work will get $600. Those who have lost between 8-20 hours of work will receive $375.

The entire state of Victoria is on day one of a five-day snap lockdown, Greater Sydney has another two weeks of lockdown ahead, and Queensland have to wear masks for another week.
