The Napier St rail bridge in Footscray has been hit by a truck for the whopping third time this year.
The collision happened about midday today, affecting road and rail traffic. The bridge will now need to undergo a structural assessment.
This is the 55th time the bridge has been hit by a truck since 2012 and just last year VicRoads splashed out more than $1.6M on an early warning and safety system. The bridge was struck seven times last year.
