Limestone Coast Police have charged a Mount Gambier Man, following a traffic stop in Millicent.


Patrols stopped the 44-year-old on Agricultural Bureau Drive for the purpose of a random drive test.


It’s alleged the man assaulted the officer before being arrested.


He was taken back to Millicent Police Station - reportedly returning a 0.123 result to a breath test.


The officer has received minor injuries.


The driver has been issued a six month immediate loss of license notice, and his car was impounded for 28 days.


He will appear in Millicent Magistrate’s Court in the future.



Officers have slammed the behaviour, and are reminding locals of the importance of following road rules when on our region’s roads.
