The remains of a 28-year-old man who went missing west of Brisbane in November last year have been found in bushland in Toowoomba.

Specialist police, which included abseilers, conducted multiple searches of bushland near where he was last seen, the search area taking in the escarpment of the Toowoomba Range.

The remains are yet to be formerly identified, however police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Detectives investigating the man’s disappearance investigated whether his criminal past had played a part in his disappearance, they found no evidence of foul play.

Police would like to acknowledge the assistance from SES, members of the community for their assistance with this matter.
