During the Summer (or all year if you’re really keen), Melbournians love a good water park that's close to home. I mean, why go all the way to the Gold Coast when the fun is already in our backyards?

Soon, there could be another one to add to the list… Zagame’s Water Park

Hotel chain Zagame’s, property developer Pellicano and world leading water park company WhiteWater West have joined forces to create the $100m idea.

There will be many Australian firsts in the new facility, which will include a 180-degree semi-circular stand-up surf pool, a ski slide with video controls and an indoor-outdoor lazy river. There will also be a hands-on aquarium and a community vegetable garden with iPads for the kids.

The park will also have resort-style features with nine food and drink outlets. You can lay out in a cabana, chill out on the outdoor seating or just grab an inflatable raft and float in the water.

If everything goes to plan, the water park will built in Dingley Village and will create 1,184 new full-time jobs. In fact, it’ll be the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere!
