It was a very sad weekend for Australia, with the passing of Australian entertainment royalty, Bert Newton.

This morning, Matt revealed his own personal experience with the great man, when he appeared on Bert's TV show back in the day, Good Morning Australia.

"I had the pleasure of being interviewed by him three times,

"Do I think for one minute that he knew of me and my career? Nup,

"The thing about Bert Newton was if you were in show business, and he loved show business so much then you were welcomed into his family, and he would make you sound glowing, as if he'd followed every moment of your career."
