Former federal politician SOPHIE MIRABELLA will seek more than $300 thousand in damages, as compensation for being defamed by the Benalla Ensign newspaper in 2016. A Wangaratta Courty Court jury sided with her earlier this week saying false claims made in a 2016 article damaged her reputation.The matter's being adjourned with the Judge set to hand down a verdict at a later date


Labor Upper House member JACLYN SYMES has applauded the government's investment into the Nagambie Ambulance Service. She says a permanent paramedic will set up shop in town following months of campaigning.


The collaboration of health services between Nathalia, Cobram and Numurkah is now underway - with planned improvements expected to be up and running in 2019.
