Inside The Shaking Hand

Tucked away in the familiar home of the old Transit Bar, Canberra’s newest addition to the bar scene awaits - introducing ‘The Shaking Hand’.

This refreshed and energetic new venue promises plenty of pizza, cold beers and rock n roll.

Brought to you by the same people behind Sydney’s Lansdowne Hotel, they’re looking forward to getting to know the people of the Nation’s Capital…it’s literally in the name.

In fact, the new bar even wants to document the occasion.

Visitors are encouraged to scratch a message or their name into the bar by any means necessary.

Once it’s full, the plan is to cover the surface of the bar with a protective coating, locking in the memories of the Shaking Hands early days for years to come.
