A Rebels bikie will spend at least 25 years in jail after being sentenced today over the 2014 murder of a Central Coast custom car builder.

JOHN RICHARD WESTON gunned down 29-year-old LAURIE STARLING outside his West Gosford business 'The Chop Shop' in 2014.

The pair had been involved in a dispute over the ownership of a unique motorcycle.

In sentencing, Justice STEPHEN ROTHMAN said the crime was 'detestable and gravely reprehensible, if not extremely wicked'.

WESTON will serve a maximum term of 34 years.

Another man has already pleaded guilty to his part in the murder
