All via your mobile phone

Just like those Lime scooters we're seeing all around town, you'll soon be able to pick up a car using a mobile phone app.

Following its success overseas and interstate, Maven car sharing launched in Adelaide yesterday.

The RAA and GM Holden have made the announcement at Tonsley, putting cars on the road for $8 an hour.

You'll simply be able to find them on the roads via the app, unlock them via the app and push-start the vehicle to get on your way.

They'll come with a tank of petrol, insurance and 24/7 roadside assistance.

Initially there will be Holden small cars, sedans, SUVs and even a ute.

They'll be placed in the CBD, Mile End, Marion, Tonsley, Modbury, Glenelg, Grange, Woodville and Elizabeth.
