Sending a strong message to bullies

Boulder will be the backdrop for a photography project next month, to help combat bullying and empower those affected.

The True Brothers Social Club will pose with their motorbikes and with local children, with the idea being that the children will feel the strength of those standing beside them.

Local photographer Christy Stokes hopes that the project will make a difference for kids in the community, and says that bullying is something that affected her when she was growing up.

"I'm hoping that this will empower children that they're able to be strong . . . they've got that power within them to stand up to bullies and be a lot stronger."

When Mrs. Stokes approached Craig Anderson, president of the True Brothers - who do a lot of work raising awareness of depression and suicide - he jumped at the chance to be a part of it.
