If You Love Black Coffee, You're Probably A Psychopath, So Be Gone Demon

We all need a morning and afternoon pick-me-up in the form of a coffee, it’s just a natural part of living the 9-5 life. 

But it turns out that how you take your coffee is a big indicator of your personality… with one coffee order in particular making you more susceptive to being a psychopath… 

Research published in the Appetite journal from an Austrian University of Innsbruck study, revealed that psychopaths prefer their coffee black. 

Like their souls. 

But seriously, black coffee has been shown to be the go-to choice for those with psychopathic tendencies. 

The study looked at more than 1000 American adults and analysed their personality tests that looked at traits like aggression, sadism, narcissism and psychopathy. 

They were also asked about what foods they preferred and how they felt about salty, sour, sweet and bitter drinks and food. 

The results?

Well, it turns out those who like foods with a bitter taste - black coffee, radishes, dark chocolate, etc… - are MORE likely to have traits that are sadistic, malevolent and psychopathic. 

People who were more friendly and ‘agreeable’ preferred sweet foods, steering clear of the bitter ones altogether.
