Queensland's ID scanning laws will be softened after a two year review..

Among the recommendations being adopted - late night venues won't have to scan IDs from Monday to Thursday, while minimum police bans will increase from 10 days to a month.

The Attorney General's declared the laws have been worthwhile, with a dramatic drop in the number if violent assaults between 3 and 6am.
