Preparing for Mother’s Day this year has been a very different experience.

The usual trip to the shops and plans for big gatherings have been swapped for online shopping orders and an influx of food delivery options from local restaurants and cafes. 

The latest food delivery option that is drawing the attention of Sydneysiders comes from The Grounds.

The Alexandria staple is currently selling a number of Mother’s Day treats to order, from delicious cakes and scones, to Mediterranean Roasted Lamb and gift bags.

But the cake that has drawn my attention is this super pretty DIY Cake Kit: Strawberries & Cream Cake!

For $59.00, all the ingredients to bake and decorate the cake are delivered to your house, as well as instructions and a link to an online video, led by Head Pastry Chef Antoine Royer, which you can follow along at home.
