This is not a drill. Hungry Jack's is officially releasing a Vegan Burger!

The burger chain announced the news in a Facebook post this afternoon, and fans were immediately beside themselves with joy.

According to the post, the burger will feature "a 100% vegan patty made with carrots, peas, corn, potato and capsicum, plus veganaise and non-dairy vegan cheese".

The Vegan Burger will only be available in the following stores, for a limited time -
Sydney: Circular Quay; Oxford St, Darlinghurst; Pitt & Park Sts; Event Cinemas George St.
Melbourne: Elizabeth St; Bourke & Russell Sts; Southern Cross Station; Kingsway, South Melbourne; Melbourne Central Shopping Centre; Spencer St, Docklands; Hoddle St, Richmond

Hungry Jack's has already offered a delicious Veggie Burger for many years, but vegan cheese and vegan mayo were previously not available.

In response to a fan's questions they explained, "It's the same patty as the Veggie burger. The Vegan Burger differs from the Veggie Whopper in a couple of ways, it’s made with locally produced vegan-friendly mayo and delicious creamy melted vegan-friendly cheese :)"
