Tasmania is getting a horror movie! Rob Braslin is the comedian and emerging filmmaker from Clarendon Vale who has been named as one of the five successful people who received a place in the Shock Treatment initiative, a partnership between Screen Australia and the ABC.

Rob's short film is called Vale Light:
In the public housing commission estate of Pendle Vale, a single mum and her daughter do it tough, until one day a witch decides to change their fortune. Drawing upon his childhood growing up in Clarendon Vale, Tasmanian filmmaker Rob Braslin weaves a highly emotive and thrilling short film that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Filming will start in August around the Clarendon Vale neighbourhood, and the finished product will be available on ABC iview in October 2019, just in time for Halloween!
