Horrific Machinery Accident Leaves Man in a Serious Condition

A man in his 20s has sustained a serious head injury after an horrific machinery accident on a property near Highfields around 4pm yesterday afternoon.

The man was assisting to free a skid steer loader that had become bogged in mud while trying to clear a dam, when the bucket from the excavator dropped, and struck him on the head, crushing him. 

RACQ LifeFlight Rescue transported the man in a serious condition to a Brisbane hospital.
