The search for missing 33-year-old Matthew Fitzpatrick near Mansfield and Merrijig has taken a concerning turn.

Not seen since Saturday, Matthew's car's now been located on Monument Creek Road, in Mt Stirling - but there's no sign of the man in question.

Police units, including search and Rescue, Air Wing and SES crews are resuming a search of the area this morning.

Anyone with information on Matthew's movements or whereabouts is urged to contact Mansfield Police Station.


An investigation is underway following a serious crash between a motorcyclist and motorist at a Moama intersection.

On Monday night, police were speaking with a member of the public, before observing a motorcyclist allegedly speeding.

The 21-year-old man failed to pull over, accelerating away before colliding with a car at the intersection of Echuca and Meninya streets.

He's been transferred to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
The Environment Protection Authority has confirmed the five day Earthcore Music Festival in Elmore operated without approval for late night noise.

A number of complaints were received by the EPA and the Campaspe Shire regarding inappropriate noise levels coming from the Elmore Events Centre, particularly during the early hours of Sunday morning.

The EPA confirming you need a social significance approval permit to play loud music outside 12pm and 11pm. They will contact the Campaspe Shire to determine the appropriate course of action.
