Scammers have targeted Heritage Bank customers in Toowomba.
Heritage posted to their Facebook Page the below warning to their customers earlier this week:
“We’re aware of a scam email claiming to come from Heritage and asking customers to confirm their account password. This fraudulent email uses images and format stolen from our customer newsletter Working For You to appear legitimate.
Remember, Heritage will NEVER contact you to request that you disclose of any personal security details such as your PIN, internet banking passwords or credit card details.”
If you receive an email like the one pictured below:
o Do not reply
o Do not open any attachments or click on any links and
o Delete the email from your inbox
If you have replied to the email with any details, please reset your online banking password and contact us immediately on 13 14 22 (8:30am - 7pm AEST Mon to Sat), or send an email to our Financial Crimes team at [email protected] with details of what has happened.
