Christmas Day is one of the biggest days of the year with celebrations happening across town. Many people will be spending time with their family and friends, which means a lot of stores will close their doors.

Here are some of the places you can go if you get stuck on December 25th...


All Woolworths, Coles, IGA (with the exception of some Xpress stores) and Aldi will be closed. If your local is an independent grocer, it’s best to give them a call as trading hours can differ. 

All 7-Eleven stores are open.


All Priceline stores are closed.

Here is the list of Chemist Warehouse stores open on Christmas Day:

Balaclava, Box Hill, Brighton, Brunswick South, Camberwell, Chadstone, Clayton, Coburg, Doncaster, Elsternwick, Epping, Forest Hill, Glen Waverley, Greensborough, Hampton Park, Keilor East, Knoxfield, Fountain Gate, Melbourne, Melton, Moonee Ponds, Noble Park, Point Cook, Preston, Ringwood, Sunbury, Hopper’s Crossing, Frankston 


All Coles Liquor stores are closed. Woolworths Liquor is also closed with the exception of Dan Murphy’s Burvale and Rowville.


All Hoyts locations will be open with limited session times, including Melbourne Central, Highpoint, Eastland and Chadstone


Burnt Christmas lunch? All McDonalds and KFC locations will remain open.
