Empty Esky is a social media movement of foodies and adventurers on a mission to support small businesses affected by the Australian bushfires. It encourages Aussies to take an empty esky on a road trip to a fire-affected town and fill it with produce from local traders.

It has since been estimated that the Australian tourism industry has taken a 4.5 billion dollar hit due to the bushfires and COVID-19 pandemic that forced state border closures and sent Australia into lockdown. This double blow of tragedy crippled small town businesses, and left them struggling to survive, without jobs or a reliable source of income. (Empty Esky)

To assist their efforts, Jeep Australia will support the development of the Empty Esky website, making it easier for you to get involved by downloading a pre-prepared itinerary or creating your own route via a interactive map.

Empty Esky co-founder Eleanor Baillieu joined Bronte & Sam this morning to encourage Australians to hit the road and discover some of the country’s most celebrated regions, including within the Riverina, while supporting fire-affected communities.
