Her Majesty The Queen Has Sent Her Love To Townsville

As Townsville begins to recover from the most devastating flooding that the city has ever faced, messages of support are being received from across the globe. 

This morning The Queen has sent her love from the other side of the world, to our community. 

"Prince Philip and I have been very saddened to hear of the severe floods impacting so many people in North and Far North Queensland.

With many extremes of weather being seen across Australia this year, it is clear that so many people, including Queenslanders, are required to show increased resilience and determination in the face of difficulty.

I extend my sincere admiration to the emergency services, Defence personnel, local authorities and volunteers, who are working tirelessly to help those affected.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Queensland community at this difficult time.”
