Sydney is in for a wet week ahead, with the Bureau of Meteorology warning of intense rain and vigorous winds.
The low pressure system will make its way towards northwestern NSW on Tuesday, before hitting the Greater Sydney area on Wednesday.
Intense rainfall and vigorous winds are expected, before it moves away from the coast.
The heavy rain may result in flash flooding to the Sydney Metropolitan and Blue Mountains area.
The rain will be at its heaviest on Wednesday morning and afternoon.
It will ease on Thursday.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should ensure their cars are undercover and secure loose items around your house and garden ahead of the weather event.
