Hackers Have Worked Out How To Change The Audio On Lime Scooters

Lime scooters have become a fixture on the streets of Brisbane in the past few months. 

However it seems they aren't immune to unexpected issues, with a video circulating on Reddit that seemingly shows a Brisbane Lime scooter playing some very inappropriate audio. 

The post author states that the scooter has been "hacked". 

"We are aware that eight Lime scooters in Brisbane have had their audio files changed by vandals recording over the existing audio file with inappropriate and offensive speech," Lime's Nelson Savanh, Public Affairs Manager told hit105. 

"It's not smart, it's not funny and is akin to changing a ringtone. It’s disappointing that someone has taken this opportunity to poke fun at members of the community in a hurtful way. The impacted scooters are currently off the streets, while we actively look for any other scooters with altered audio files."
