We’re not sure why some people think they can get away with robbing from the rich and famous, considering their security details, but one woman in the U.S is now facing up to five years in prison for doing so.
According to federal prosecutors, Paytsar Bkhchadzhyan impersonated Paris Hilton online between 2015 and 2017, reportedly emailing an assistant of Paris’ to request funds transfers of up to $80,000.
TMZ has reportedly obtained court documents revealing she used Paris’ credit cards to make reservations for a New Year’s Eve party in 2015, at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. During the night there were up to $40,000 in hotel charges made.
It is also believed she may have hacked Paris’ sister Nicki and father Rick, to steal passwords and download naked pictures of Paris from her iCloud.
She was arrested in 2017, pleading guilty to charges of bank fraud conspiracy.
Paytsar has asked for a sentence of 57 months in prison, which would then be followed by three years of supervised release, and she would also have to pay $318,535 in restitution to both Paris and other victims affected.
