Down The Rabbit Hole Wines

For those of us who love nothing more than a weekend wine getaway with our favourite people, Down The Rabbit Hole Wines in McLaren Vale is finally opening a cellar door… and it’s a super pretty bus!

Owners Elise Cook and Domenic Palumbo not only have the most stunning Instagram accounts I’ve ever seen, but have somehow found time amidst all their travels and winery-running to renovate a vintage 1974 Leyland bus from Glasgow to host their future wine tastings!

“While we were travelling Australia in our Kombi, sharing our wines as we did, we decided that our tasting room HAD to be on wheels.,” they wrote on Instagram.

“So we begun hunting for our dream bus... and the first one that made our hearts skip was this 1974 vintage Leyland (which came from Glasgow to Australia 15 years ago) - mainly because of the open top!

“So we went on a mission, to make him ours and then to drive him back to South Australia.

“After a whole lot of TLC - he’s ready. When we open in August, Lennon will be our little tasting room.

“We made a clear canvas enclosure for the top (as it’s winter and pretty cool) but in summer it will come off for a open rooftop zone 😊.

“Can’t wait to pour you a glass! 🍷
