Gold Coast Woman Unknowingly Carries Winning Lotto Ticket Around For Two Weeks
Local couple $200,000 richer
Another lucky Gold Coast couple has taken out a major lotto prize.
An anonymous woman bought a Lucky Lotteries ticket for her husband's birthday, and walked around with it in her handbag for two weeks before getting it checked.
When she finally took it to a news agency they told her they couldn't give out the prize, and she got the shock of her life when she called Golden Casket to confirm.
Turns out, she and her hubby had won the $200,000 jackpot, drawn Friday 23 November 2018.
“This is just unbelievable, it really is," she said.
“We had never played Lucky Lotteries before but we thought we’d give it a go.
“This is just amazing!”
She said they would use some of the windfall on a family holiday to America.
The ticket was purchased from Waterford Plaza News in Waterford.
